We’ll need to have instruments put together and tuned before IFO begins their performance at noon.
Our performance is scheduled for approximately 12:30pm.

 


CHECKLIST OF IMPORTANT THINGS TO DO:

  1. IMPORTANT:  You should pay the NFA dues and Convention fee at the same time at this link: http://www.nfaonline.org/Annual-Convention/2017/Fees-and-Registration.aspx and choose Online Advance Registration Form (to pay online)
  2. NFA Membership Dues for 2017-18 (required): $70 (for e-membership), $85 (for regular membership with a print copy of Flutists’ Quarterly magazine).
  3. Convention Fee: Adult Member $275, one day $145 (Student Member $125, one day $70), Non-flutist guest $80 (pre-registration prices before July 25th)
  4. Transportation Information: airfare to Minneapolis; or via car (be sure to factor in cost of parking at the convention hotel), or train.  The Minneapolis Convention Center is 12 miles from the airport.

Discounted Airfare – The NFA has negotiated cost-saving discounts with Delta and United Airlines for air travel to and from Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) for travel between August 7 and August 16, 2017.

Discount offer— up to 10% off applicable classes of service for tickets purchase more than 30 days prior to the convention. Restrictions apply and not all classes of service apply for the discount.

If you look at a map of where the Minneapolis Convention Center is, I think there are also quite a few less expensive hotel options close by.  Having 2 or 4 to a room definitely makes it more affordable.
